Quotes

You seek my redemption, a fool's errand.

Then I must be the most foolish of them all because I won't stop looking, not now, not ever.

Why do you reach so far? Why can't you accept life as it is?

I reach because I know with effort it can be reached, that even the tallest trees must come to an end. To accept life as it is, that is simply ridiculous, because you know it can and will be more if you nuture it. That is what your redemption is, a tiny seed in need of nourishment. I will provide it, even if it kills me, you will not stop me, nothing will.

The Supernatural....

This is a new series that I'm writing. It's about a organization that is hunting down those with supernatural abilities. Hope you enjoy it.
The Supernatural
by: Cardi Moberly

Prologue:
The scientists gathered around the oak conference table in Holland’s Office Supplies. The only sound that could be heard was the sound of nervous finger tapping against the table. The anxious whispers echoed throughout the room. A knock banged against the door. One knock, two knock, three knock. The door slowly creaked open and revealed a man.
The man was in his late 70’s perhaps his early 80’s. He had silvery gray hair that stuck up all around his head sort of like an Albert Einstein hair do. His eyes were a cold and icy gray. He wore a pure white lab coat. His bushy mustache quivered on his lip as he just stood there listening to the mumbling of the other scientists.
“Is it true? Are there those who have more power than us?” a woman asked. “Silence! We must listen to Professor Gwendovier, he’ll answer all of our questions.” a man said. Everyone turned to look at the old professor with the cold gray eyes and Albert Einstein hair do.
“To answer all of your questions, yes they do exist.” he said. The others gasped rather loudly. Some started panicking and pacing all over. “Good gracious stop panicking. This 2026 for goodness sakes. We aren’t hopeless against them. We have our ways to make sure they don’t cause us any trouble.”
The others stopped pacing and turned towards Professor Gwendovier. “What do you have in mind, sir?” asked a small plump man.
The professor’s eyes gleamed. “We exterminate them from where they are always going to be, of course.” The scientists still looked very confused.
“We target them in their schools!” he shouted.
The scientists shook there heads in agreement. They all agreed it was the perfect idea. They would take a serum and seek out those of supernatural abilities. Then, they would be sick and the scientist would pass themselves off as doctors who are used to all kinds of sickness. Doctors, they would pretend to be doctors. They would round up all of the Supernatural and take them to Live Better Hospital. They would experiment on them and keep them under humans control. The Supernatural would not rule over them. Not today, not ever!
The scientists cheered. “We will never be dominated by those whom we call the Supernatural! We will prevail! They will have no power here, or us or anyone!” he shouted. And sure enough there evil plan worked within 6 months of their plan, they had over 4,000 Supernaturals. They all believed that they were seriously ill and so did their families. No one was any the wiser.

Siblings of the Forest con.... con... con..

I was shocked by Sirena's prophecy. Then, I remembered were I was, I was still eavesdropping on Ash. He was going to be furious if he found out. If. I dashed back to my tent and shortly after, Ash joined me. Who knew he was so fast? "How are you doing?" Ash asked. I shrugged. Ash wasn't really surprised that was my usual response. "Listen, it will be okay. We'll find them and when we do we'll punish whoever did this to you." he said. I nod and get up. I head over to my backpack. It seems like forever since I've used it.
" I can't wait that long. I need to find them now."
I turn and exit the tent. Ash's words are making me dizzy, and I can't afford to be over come by distractions manipulative hand.
"Elizabeth!" He says.  I start to speed walk fast and faster until I'm taking flight. He pulls me back.
"Wait," he says soothingly. I stop.
"You better hurry and say what you need to say." I say.
He nods. He reaches into his back pocket and pulls out a beautiful silver necklace with a single milky white pearl.
"It's so beautiful."
"It is to remind you of your beauty. And to remind you of me. Were ever you go I'm with you." he says.
His nimble fingers put the necklace on me.
"Thank you." I say.
"Be careful, there are all sorts of creatures out there."
I nod. And then I'm off. I'm going to get my siblings back and nothing going to stop me.
