A Very Explosive Christmas

Chapter 1
School
Beep! Beep! Beep!
Helen’s alarm clock went off. Today was Christmas Eve. Helen jumped out of bed
and raced to her closet. She threw on a silky light green blouse, a red short
skirt, and light green leggings. She tossed her chestnut brown hair until it
was into her usual ponytail, and dashed to the bus stop. Still, on the day
before Christmas, Helen and her pals John and Brody had to go to school. Soon,
the musty yellow school bus arrived and the pals climbed on and sat down. “It
isn’t fair we have to go to school on the day before Christmas,” John wined. “Life
isn’t fair, John,” Helen said, flipping through a magazine about holiday
decorations. “Well, that was rude,” John remarked. “Rude? Are you accusing me
of being rude?” Helen asked. “Oh, don’t you get me started on her personality,”
John said. “Oh no you didn’t,” Helen said, and flicked John in the forehead. “Ouch!”
John screamed. “Can it you two we’re at school,” Brody said. “Fine,” Helen said
calmly. Then the 3 pals exited the musty yellow school bus quietly, but when
the entered the classroom there was none other than Ms. Ghoul.
Chapter 2
Ms. Ghoul
Ms. Ghoul was a
40 year old woman with sheet white skin, straw blond hair that stuck up every
where, and crooked teeth to match her crooked smile. And to Helen, John, and
Brody they thought she was very strange, but the nicest teacher in Spooks School .
“Good morning class,” Ms. Ghoul said in her echoic boney voice, and when nobody
answered she said, “I said good morning class!” and her eyes turned a dark
shade of fiery red. “Good morning Ms. Ghoul,” the class said frightened. “Now
that’s better,” Ms. Ghoul said as her eyes turned back to her usual almond
brown. Then she sat in her little brown chair and began to write. Then she
stood up and told the class to color the Christmas protons, neutrons, and
electrons. Even though Ms. Ghoul taught a class of 15 year olds, she treated
them like little 6 year olds. Then she sat down and began to read. As Helen,
John, and Brody colored, they talked. Then, Ms. Ghoul came up to them and
said,” Excuse me this is work time not sit and chat, do you….” Ring! Ring!
Ring! The phone rang, and Ms. Ghoul answered it. “Yes,” Ms. Ghoul nodded her
head and hung up. “Well Class, school is letting out early because of some
difficulties,” Ms. Ghoul said in her boney voice. “Except for you 3,” Ms. Ghoul
said in a cold voice and pointed her boney finger at Helen, John, and Brody.
Then all of the students walked quickly out the door, leaving poor Helen, John,
and Brody alone with Ms. Ghoul. “Now, you three must stay here because of my
orders,” Ms. Ghoul said. Ring! Ring! Ring! The phone rang once again and Ms.
Ghoul answered. “Of course,” Ms. Ghoul said and hung up. “Due to an emergency,
I have to leave,” Ms. Ghoul said to Helen, John, and Brody. Then she swung open
the door and left, but stuck to the door was a message that read in green slimy
goo dripping every where,
……………………………..The Sorcerer is some one in Brody’s family…………………….
Then the message
turned blank and blew away in the soft winter breeze.
Oooh! Is it Brody? Great first Chapter! Can't wait to read more!
ReplyDeleteLove,
Mom
It's fun to read about Christmas when it is hot
ReplyDeleteoutside. I feel cooler just thinking about winter.
If Ms. Ghoul is the nicest teacher at spooks school
the other teachers must be pretty horrible! It's scary
when her eyes change color.
